“If it is said that we are shaped by the landscape we inhabit, perhaps this explains the choices I make in my work. Subject matter reveals itself subtly in the Midwest. With a tough winter its gifts are slow to emerge. Spring, summer and fall are approached with modesty like a hard won peace. Stunning imagery here is often passed by on an average day, and revisited under the right circumstances”.
