Monday, July 19
    Sunrise - 10am 
Artists gather at Rowleys Bay for a spectacular sunrise over the Mink River Estuary. Visitors are invited to watch the artists paint and enjoy the beauty of this natural area. Map on page 42.
    11am - 2pm 
Watch featured artists paint on site in Ellison Bay and Baileys Harbor.
 
    5:30-8pm  Welcome Dinner at Peninsula Players Theatre, for Palette Sponsors only ***

Tuesday , July 20
    11am - 2pm  Work your way from Juddville Clay Studio south to Popelka Trenchard Glass in Sturgeon Bay, stopping at five gorgeous galleries along the way. You can find markers for these galleries on our maps on pages 42-44.

Peninsula School of Art volunteers are available to answer questions about the festival at information booths located near participating galleries. Tickets, t-shirts, and other festival merchandise is also available. For more information, please call 920.868.3455.

Wednesday , July 21
    11am - 2pm 
The Village of Sister Bay and outlying areas welcome the festival artists to paint at their businesses and parks. For a listing of participating artists and businesses, visit our information stand at the waterfront park, downtown Sister Bay.
    6pm - Sunset  Artists from the Door County Plein Air Festival will be scattered across the beach and marina, painting the gorgeous Sister Bay sunset. Take a sunset stroll and watch artists paint. Free and open to all.
    7:30-9:30pm  This private party offers live music, wine, hors d’oeuvres, and a preview of paintings created earlier that day. Tickets $35, Sister Bay Waterfront Park

Thursday, July 22
    10am - 3pm  Hop aboard Door County Trolley for a tour of Edgewood Orchard Galleries and Fine Line Designs Gallery. Festival artists will be painting at both galleries, as well as the School. The trolley can be picked up at either gallery, or at Peninsula School of Art, where we will also be serving up a picnic lunch.Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 and younger, with lunch sold separately. The last tour departs Peninsula School of Art at 2pm.

Friday, July 23
    5-6pm  ~  Collector’s Preview & Champagne Kick-Off, for Palette Sponsors Only *** Just one of many benefits, open exclusively for Palette Sponsors, is the Collector’s Preview. Palette Sponsors enjoy an hour in our gallery before Gala ticket holders arrive. This hour includes the first buying opportunity of the festival, and a chance to take home the artworks you really love. Passed hors d’oeuvres and champagne toast to celebrate the best art of the Door County Plein Air Festival.
    6-9pm  ~  Gala Auction  If you could attend any party in Door County this summer... this would be one not to miss! Hors d’oeuvres, wine, live jazz, desserts, plus fresh paintings from each of our Door County Plein Air Festival artists.  Paintings, sold by silent auction, are ready to go home when you are.  Tickets $55.


Saturday, July 24 - FREE EVENTS ALL DAY


In Fish Creek's Clark Park:
Festival artists will be joined by artists from the community to paint at Fish Creek’s Clark Park. In just two hours they will paint their artwork from start to finish. Paintings from our 40 featured festival artists will be sold at noon on live auction. Paintings from all other artists participating in the Dockside Quick Paint will be on display for judging and sale during this evening’s Opening Reception at Peninsula School of Art.

At Peninsula School of Art:
Artworks from the Door County Plein Air Festival will be on display in Peninsula School of Art’s Guenzel Gallery.  Paintings created by local artists during the morning’s Dockside Quick Paint will be on display for sale and judging.  Free and open to the public. Wine sold by the glass.
