About Peninsula School of Art
About Door County

Nestled in the quaint harbor town of Fish Creek is the Peninsula School of Art. For the sixth year in a row, the School has invited 40 renowned plein air painters from the US and Canada to participate in the Door County Plein Air Festival. The Door County Plein Air Festival is the largest outdoor painting festival in the Midwest and it is also the largest annual fundraising event presented by Peninsula School of Art.

The 2013 Door County Plein Air Festival will be held July 22 through July 27, with an exhibition and sale of festival artworks continuing through August 17.  Thousands of visitors attend the free artist demonstrations and the lively Quick-Paint in the local park.  Each of the 40 featured artists will complete five to fifteen paintings during the festival.  The School’s Guenzel Gallery will host an exhibition and sale of the works, with proceeds benefiting the educational and community programs of the School.
