Joan Hoffmann Oil California
Joan Hoffmann is
celebrating 40 years painting en plein air. Her outdoor painting retreats take
her afield from California’s Pacific Coast at Point Reyes National Seashore’s
Lifeboat Station (www.ptreyes.org) and east to Grand Teton National Park at The
Murie Center. She works tirelessly to
promote landscape painting and to protect the landscapes that she paints. Her work is in collections such as Sonoma
Land Trust and Colorado’s Nature Conservancy. The Steamboat Springs Arts
Council will host, ‘Landscape Painting-Forty Years in Routt County, Colorado’
in Summer 2011. She captures light in her oils, following in the tradition of
Early California oil painters.
