Gordon graduated from the School Of The Art Institute Of Chicago and began painting full time in 2000 after retiring from the advertising business. Since then, he has had successful one-man gallery exhibits and art shows in the midwest and east coast, where his watercolors have won several show and gallery merit awards and ribbons. He was a featured painter in the 2010 Winter edition of American Artist Watercolor magazine. His interest is in capturing a subject spontaneously without a lot of details and to let the viewer get visually involved in the painting.
